Khalid Tra'Von Trent is an aspiring musical theatre performer with a passion for storytelling, authenticity, and representation.  In the fall, Khalid will attend University of Michigan to study musical theatre as a proud member of the fierce Class of 2030.

Over the years, Khalid’s passion for performing has grown alongside his commitment to advocating for diversity and representation within the arts. As a Black and gay artist, he strives to exist boldly in spaces where artists who look like him are often underrepresented.

Inspired by powerhouse artists such as Audra McDonald, J. Harrison Ghee, and Shoshana Bean, Khalid values storytelling that is truthful, fresh, and emotionally impactful. His performance experience includes stages such as Theatre Under The Stars and The Muny, where he has continued sharpening his craft as both a performer and creative artist.

Outside of performing, Khalid enjoys online shopping, binge-watching TV shows, writing music, procrastinating on learning to play guitar, and playing WWE video games. He also loves choreographing and hopes to build a versatile, multi-hyphenate career that spans performance, choreography, music, and beyond.
